To make the world slightly more sustainable, I am building an open-source scanner that can identify the five most common types of plastic.
They often look and feel the same, but for proper recycling, it is mandatory to separate these. Luckily they have a unique “fingerprint” in the reflection of Near-Infrared light. That is why I am building upon this research.
As much as I understand plastics, as little I understand software..
I am looking for someone who can help me write a python script to capture sensor data, cluster different samples, and make a prediction script that tells what plastic it is and its probability.
